Hey,
it’s Marc.
This morning around 7 12 AM
something felt off
I had slept enough
no late night
no heavy workout
And still
I woke up tired
Not physically exhausted
but mentally slow
You know that feeling
when your body is awake
but your mind isn’t really there yet
Like you’re already behind
before the day even started
My first instinct was the usual
“I need coffee”
“I need to wake up faster”
“I need to push through this”
But then I paused
and looked at the day before
No real breaks
constant input
scrolling late
jumping between things
Even in the evening
there was no real “off”
And that’s when it clicked
I didn’t wake up tired
I went to sleep overloaded
That’s the difference most people miss
Sleep doesn’t automatically recover you
If your nervous system stays activated
throughout the day
and never really powers down
your brain carries that load into the night
So even if you sleep
your system doesn’t fully reset
What actually helped
Instead of trying to wake up faster
I slowed the morning down
No phone
No instant input
Just sitting
breathing
a few minutes of quiet
And slowly
the fog lifted
Not because I added energy
but because I removed pressure
That’s the shift
Morning fatigue is often not a lack of sleep
It’s a lack of recovery
So if you wake up tired
don’t just ask
“How do I get more energy?”
Ask
“Did my system ever switch off yesterday?”
Most of the time
that’s where the answer is
Stay sharp
