Hey,

it’s Marc.

A few days ago
I caught myself doing something strange.

I was sitting at my desk
staring at the screen

knowing exactly what I had to do

but not doing it.

Not scrolling.
Not distracted.

Just… stuck.

And the first thought that came up was:

“Why am I like this today?”

“No discipline.”
“No focus.”

The usual story.

But then I noticed something.

The day before
I had slept less than usual

I skipped going outside

ate quickly between tasks

and spent hours jumping
between different things

Emails.
Messages.
Work.
Content.

No real pause.

And suddenly it clicked.

It wasn’t discipline.

It was overload.

Here’s what most people get wrong

When your brain is overstimulated
your prefrontal cortex
the part responsible for focus and decisions
starts to shut down.

Not completely.

But enough
to make simple tasks feel heavy.

So you don’t start.

And then you think
you’re the problem.

What actually helped

Not pushing harder.

Not forcing focus.

But doing less
for a moment.

I went outside.

No phone.
No input.

Just walking.

Ten minutes.

When I came back

the resistance was gone.

Not because I “fixed” my mindset

but because I reduced the load
on my nervous system.

That’s the shift

Focus is not something you create

It’s something that returns
when interference is removed

So if you ever sit there

knowing what to do
but feeling unable to start

don’t ask:
“What’s wrong with me?”

Ask:
“What did I overload today?”

Most of the time
that’s the real answer

Stay sharp
